Abhishek Bachchan expressed his gratitude for having Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at home, allowing him the freedom to pursue his film career. Abhishek Bachchan expresses gratitude to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

In an interview with The Hindu, he highlighted the traditional sacrifices mothers often make for their families while fathers continue to work. Abhishek Bachchan remarked, “In my household, I’m fortunate to be able to go out and make movies, but I know Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I am immensely thankful for that. However, children don’t see it that way. They don’t view you as a third party; to them, you’re the primary figure.”

Abhishek also reflected on his upbringing, recalling how his mother, Jaya Bachchan, set aside her career for her children while his father, Amitabh Bachchan, continued to provide for the family. He stated, “My mother stopped acting when I was born so she could spend time with us. We never felt our dad’s absence. Ultimately, after a day of work, you come home in the evening.”

Abhishek Bachchan on parenthood

Emphasizing the inspiration that parenthood brings, he added, “Being a parent drives you to do incredible things. You would climb mountains for your child. I have profound respect for mothers and the unique sacrifices they make, which no one else can replicate. Fathers tend to do things quietly because they often struggle to express their feelings, and that’s a flaw men have. As children grow older, they begin to recognize the stability their fathers provide, even if fathers often remain in the background.”

Abhishek Bachchan recalls his experience

Recalling his own experiences, Abhishek shared, “There were weeks when I wouldn’t see my father, even though he slept in the room next to mine. The doors between my sister’s room and the master bedroom were always open. He would return home after we had gone to bed and leave before we woke up. Despite his hectic schedule, I don’t recall him ever missing an annual school event or a basketball final. In the end, he was always there for us.”
